Scrubs & Beyond to shut Columbus-area stores as it exits physical retail
Scrubs & Beyond plans to close every retail store nationwide, including its two locations in the Columbus area, as the healthcare-apparel company shifts its business primarily online. The local stores are at 3864 Morse Road near Easton Town Center and 2841 Taylor Square Drive in Reynoldsburg. Both were open as of Wednesday, Oct. 1, and the company had not announced a closure schedule as of Saturday, Oct. 3. The company said it made a strategic decision to wind down its brick-and-mortar stores and continue serving customers mainly through its online shop. It declined to provide further comment on the closures. Scrubs & Beyond has not publicly given a reason for the decision. The chain’s website listed closing sales at more than 115 stores across 30 states, with discounts of up to 50%. Beyond the Columbus-area locations, its Ohio stores are in West Chester, Dayton and Cincinnati. The closures will end local in-person shopping at the stores, while online sales are expected to continue. The company has not said when customers should expect the Columbus-area locations to shut their doors.
