A 17-year-old was arrested after reports that a gun had been fired inside a Central Ohio Transit Authority bus near downtown Columbus late Tuesday, according to Columbus police. Officers were sent to South High Street and East Fulton Street. At about 11:45 p.m. Sept. 29, they found the teenager sitting on the bus, police said. He was taken into custody without incident, and officers recovered a firearm. Police said the teenager faces charges of having weapons under disability, carrying a concealed weapon and improper handling of a firearm. He also faces other charges related to separate arrest warrants, according to police. No injuries were reported. The allegations have not been proven in court. Police did not provide further details about what led to the reported gunfire or whether other people were aboard the bus.
