A 22-year-old woman died after she was shot Saturday night in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood, police said. The woman was outside in the 2800 block of West 23rd Street at about 8:45 p.m. when she heard a loud noise and felt pain, according to police. She was taken to a hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to her right armpit and was later pronounced dead. No one was in custody as of Sunday morning. Area detectives are investigating, police said.
