Cape Cod influencer faces arraignment on three charges tied to alleged assault

Braden Peters, a livestreamer known online as Clavicular, is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Orleans District Court on charges stemming from an alleged sexual assault at his family’s home in Chatham.

Peters, 20, faces one count of rape, one count of drugging someone for sexual intercourse and one count of procuring liquor for someone under 21, according to court records. The allegations concern a 17-year-old who visited him in May 2025.

The young woman told police that Peters gave her two or three shots of vodka and livestreamed himself kissing her while she was intoxicated. She said she woke the next morning to find him raping her. Peters’ lawyers have denied the allegations and said the sexual encounter was consensual.

The accuser has also described the alleged assault in a civil lawsuit filed in Florida in April. That lawsuit additionally accused Peters of injecting her with a fat-dissolving substance during a livestream without her consent. His attorneys called the civil case a “publicity grab.”

Peters has built an online following promoting “looksmaxxing,” a movement focused on altering appearance. His livestreams have featured ratings of people’s looks and discussions of ways to change one’s appearance, including surgery and drug use. He has about 1 million followers on Instagram.

The Massachusetts case comes after other legal troubles in Florida. A misdemeanor battery charge filed earlier this year was later dropped. In a separate case, Peters was sentenced to probation after pleading no contest to a charge of firing a gun in public.

The rape allegations are accusations, not findings of guilt. The woman has not been publicly identified.
