Tyler Huntley rallies Baltimore past Falcons 30-23 in overtime
ATLANTA — Tyler Huntley led two late scoring drives and the Baltimore Ravens beat the Atlanta Falcons 30-23 in overtime Sunday, Oct. 11, overcoming a 14-9 halftime deficit to improve to 4-1. Huntley, starting in place of injured Lamar Jackson, completed 24 of 31 passes for 201 yards and accounted for three touchdowns. His biggest stretch came in the fourth quarter and overtime: He completed all 11 of his passes across Baltimore’s final two drives, throwing for more than 70 yards and two touchdowns. With just over two minutes left in regulation, Huntley guided the Ravens 71 yards in six plays. He went 6 for 6 on the drive, connecting with Devontez Walker for a 7-yard touchdown. Derrick Henry then ran in the two-point conversion to tie the game at 23 and force overtime. Baltimore won the overtime coin toss and chose to receive. Huntley led the Ravens downfield and scored on a 1-yard quarterback sneak to put them ahead by seven. The Falcons had a chance to respond, but Tagovailoa — who had taken over for Michael Penix Jr. in overtime — threw an interception on his second pass. Kyle Hamilton, an Atlanta native, made the game-clinching play. “Offensively, ‘Snoop’ (Tyler Huntley) did a phenomenal job,” Ravens coach Jesse Minter said. He praised the tying drive and Baltimore’s overtime possession, and called Hamilton’s interception the game-winning play. The Ravens’ ground game helped keep them in a contest that was tight through three quarters. Baltimore rushed for more than 200 yards against an Atlanta defense described as the NFL’s best against the run. Henry topped 100 yards, while Justice Hill added 73 in his best game of the season. Baltimore had stalled in the first half, settling for three field goals. Kicker Tyler Loop made all three of his attempts, including two from 51 yards. He is 5 for 5 on field goals of at least 50 yards this season, after going 1 for 4 from that distance in 2025. The Falcons also kicked three field goals in the second half, including one after a 16-play drive featuring three third-down conversions by receiver Drake London. Atlanta’s inability to turn those possessions into touchdowns left the door open for Huntley’s late rally. Rashod Bateman caught three passes on Baltimore’s final regulation drive, and his last reception helped set up Walker’s tying touchdown. Bateman finished with a team-high 62 receiving yards; Zay Flowers led the Ravens with eight catches. Minter said the team stayed composed as the game tightened, describing the comeback as a potential starting point for further progress. Baltimore heads to Cleveland next Sunday, Oct. 18, to face the 3-2 Browns in a divisional matchup scheduled for 1 p.m.
