A 44-year-old Halethorpe man was arrested Oct. 14 after allegedly making racist remarks and threats against a Taco Bell employee in Silver Spring, according to court documents.
The documents say Ryan Barile became angry after a taco was missing from his order and made racist comments to the female employee, then threatened to fight her. He returned to the same restaurant the following day and later called the store after the employee did not speak to him while serving his order, according to the allegations.
Barile allegedly told the employee she was “going to pay for what she did” and threatened to shoot her. He faces hate-crime-related charges, stalking and telephone misuse. He is being held without bond.
